Work with Arun

I am based in India. Even though our sessions will be one-one, we will not meet each other in person.

This arrangement comes with its own challenges, but also, opportunities!  Due to my location, I am able to offer you competitive rates for a full-time professional private tutor. You may be better able to focus on the material in the comfort of your home without another person's presence in your vicinity. This arrangement also enables the use of web and software technologies that can enrich our interactions, and even save these sessions conveniently for future use.

Some policies:

• The first session will be free of charge. This session will be to primarily see whether we can communicate fluently in English over the internet.

• The medium of instruction will be English. One of the things we must see in the first session is whether we can understand each other's spoken English comfortably.

• You can simply call me Arun. If you feel the need to be a bit more formal, Mr. Arun is also acceptable. If you are from India, you may be more comfortable calling me Arun Sir. 

• Since I am based in India, we will have to determine suitable times when both of us will be available. 

• It's important that there is a wholesome chemistry between the teacher and the student. If for some reason either one of us don't feel that we can work well with each other, we will be free to terminate our tutoring sessions. When I terminate tutoring engagements, which happens very rarely, it's because I find that the student will learn more effectively with a different, possibly in-person tutor. 

• We are free to cancel a tutoring session by giving adequate notice to the other party, as long as we keep the cancellations within reasonable limits.
